This is a post on behalf of a relative who decided a bit late (around 30) with very good grades and little experience.
Are there schools more known to be "grade" focused and others as "experience" focused?
Also, how disadvantaged is one by going to a school in Buffalo? I understand that in addition to the higher cost they don't fare quite as well on the (already not so great) job market. But if you lack the experience and need to spend time building an experience profile etc. are you better off taking a year to gain it (and would a year be enough)? Or better just to get certified faster?
