Hi, I'm a student (18) in Canada and this is about the cheque got and lost from my previous job. I told my employer about my lost cheque within the five days after it's lost but he didn't put a stop on it until two months later. By then it was too late because he found out the cheque had already been cashed. In fact, my ex-employer had not shown me any proof relavent to this. I have no clue on which bank my company uses to pay the employees nor have I ever seen a bank statement of the stolen check. Do I have the right to these informations? Also, what are some procedures I have to take and what is the chance of getting back the stolen paycheque?
Edit: The paycheque has about 1k on it. That's why I'm feeling devastated and terribad right now.
