sorry to disappoint but this is not another engineering thread... lol
so I've been thinking and realized that the saying "do what you love" isn't very realistic and that it's better to have a tolerable job so that you can follow up with your hobbies and travel or whatever one likes to pursue in their spare time.
So this has me thinking insurance is the way to go. What held me back was that it seemed boring and non-glamourous, but on the flip side everyone in the industry would tell me the same thing which is that it's boring but pays decently well, (especially if you further certifications) and that it's much more stable than most jobs.
So I'm curious if anyone works in insurance here and how you got started? Specifically commercial be it on the broker/agent side or in underwriting.
In my case I already have my RIBO licence, and while I have been getting calls, they're for personal lines or life insurance. Neither of which are anything I want to get into.
