SCOPE OF POSITION:
This position will assist the payroll team with the day to day task. This position reports to the Payroll Manager.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
· Enter new hires into the payroll systems and ezLabor
· Maintain personnel files by updating payroll database
· Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports
· Verify employee hours on timecards from ezLabor
· Administration of group benefit plan
· Provide information to employees on payroll and benefit plan matters
· Assist in sorting of paystubs· Assist in issuing of Records of Employment
· Filing· Other related duties as assigned
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing
· Some payroll experience is preferred
· Knowledge of employment standards legislation for all provinces and Federal legislation
· Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation and benefits
· Must have the ability to prioritize and organize time effectively
· Must have strong interpersonal and team skills
· Must have good communication skills
· Knowledge of ADP PCPW and ezLabor an asset
