Does anyone know anything about Toronto Police Auxiliary officers on here? I know blue line forums but I don't have a non-anon email address right now which they require for sign up..
If anyone has any info about TPS Auxiliary that would be greatly appreciated.
1. Is assaulting an aux officer off-duty the same as assaulting a police offer off-duty? How about on-duty?
2. Do you have any powers/rights off duty as an aux officer?
3. Any off duty benefits for being an aux officer? Title on IDs or credit cards etc?
4. Do aux officers see any horrifying scenes such as car accidents, homicides etc?
5. Is it easier for women to get accepted as a aux officer?
6. Can you decline certain events?
7. Can you choose a male/female officer to patrol with?
8. The min education requirements are a OSSD..if you have a post-secondary education but no high school..does this apply or do you still need a gr12 certificate/equivalent?
This is for my nephew and possibly niece who is interested in pursuing a career and would love to volunteer to serve the community so we're just looking for some help and info for him.
Thanks in advance
