..for someone who eventually wants to work in software development or as a data analyst.
I'd be getting the degree from UofT.
I'm actually an accounting student at UofT who doesn't want to do accounting as a career. I was initially thinking about doing a second Comp Sci degree after I graduate at another school like York, but now I'm leaning towards postponing my graduation for a year and completing the courses for a comp sci major and graduating with the honours b.sc with the double degree in comp sci and eco. I only have one course left to complete the Eco major. I want to do this instead of my original plan as I'm failing a fourth year accounting course.
Is this degree/double major, better than having two degrees (B.Com: Accounting Specialist from UofT and B.A: Software Dev stream in Comp Sci from York)?
Any other opinions, what I should be doing instead, what I should look out for?
Wasn't sure if this was more appropriate here or in the Student subforum.
