This thread is in regards to American Income Life (AiL), operating across Canada and the United States. My experience is with the London, Ontario branch called the Traboulay Agency.
This thread is being created so potential clients and agents who are searching for information on Google are informed.
This thread will be continuously updated with the latest news on the Traboulay Agency and where they are preying on unsuspecting families.
-----------
Their whole focus is making money... for the managers. In London these four people are Brian Traboulay, Ryan Bisanz, Richard Whyte, and Mike Shaba. Look on AIL London's Facebook page - it just highlights what each agent made. When i was there, my instructor couldn't make more than $150 in two weeks. The only people making money are the managers because they hire hundreds of people. They make you feel special and chosen in the interview, saying they're only hiring a select few. Then when you have the meetings after being hired, you realize everyone who was in your interview group got hired... The leads are ***** and they mostly depend on you getting leads through the child-safe boxes, which only people on well-fare actually fill out.
These guys are crooks and their philosophy is based on lying.
They will definitely not be around in the long-run.
Also, if you quit after making some money, AIL will charge you back for it because you haven't "earned" the commission yet. Also, most people who sign up don't keep their policies for longer than 4 months, so again AIL will charge you back for money received. It's no surprise these people cancel their policies because A) the sales pitch is not educational, but manipulating; and B) there is no real in-depth analysis done on the potential client's financial situation. In addition, you'll be working seven days a week, all day, and all expenses come out of your pocket. You'll be making less than minimum-wage.
During the interview their whole pitch revolved around the cars they have. The head guys told me personally how much they and the other two managers were going to be making and what kind of cars they drive. They're incredibly materialistic... the type that goes to Starbucks instead of Tim Hortons because Starbucks is considered classier. I don't think these guys really have much equity to their names and most, if not everything they have, is owned through financing. Don't be fooled by their wild claims!
It's just a desperate group of four boys manipulating others because of their own greed. They'll be out of jobs in no time and come to realize that nobody will hire them because of their fraudulent practices.
The posts on here: http://www.complaintsboard.com/compl...a-c100308.html are so incredibly similar to my experiences, it is shocking. I think the managers have a secret training course they take to ensure all of them are doing the exact same thing to keep their agents focused on making money instead of how much money they are actually losing.... just like each agent has a course to ensure potential clients see the need. it's just one big con.
ANYONE WHO HAS A POLICY SHOULD CANCEL IT AND SEEK HELP FROM A REAL FINANCIAL ADVISOR, ONE WHO IS WILLING TO SIT DOWN WITH YOU AND GO OVER YOUR REAL POSITION, DETERMINE YOUR REAL NEED, AND GET YOU A GOOD RATE. AIL's RATES ARE NOT AT ALL A DISCOUNT!

- Note that nowhere does it say anything about helping families. The whole focus is on how much money the agents made.
Brian Traboulay:

- Brian Traboulay is incredibly arrogant. he'll tell you how much money he makes and what kind of car he drives and what education he has within the first 2 minutes of meeting you.
- very manipulative
- abandoned his family out West (including two small children) to start AIL in London, ON. he will do anything to make money - ANYTHING. he's recently engaged to a young twenty-something as well.
Ryan Bisanz (left) and Richard Whyte (right):

- Ryan Bisanz is just as arrogant as Traboulay. he constantly puts others down and will openly ridicule others who are less fortunate.
- Richard Whyte is a follower and minion of Traboulay and Bisanz. he is almost as cocky as them, but i sjust as likely to tell you how much money he made the past year.
- both are liars and will say anything to make themselves look better.
Mike Shaba:

- Mike Shaba is IDENTICAL to Whyte in terms of arrogance and manner of conduct.
