Dental hygienist and pharmacy assistant- Vancouver area

Hi all.

My bf is thinking about these two careers. Can anybody offer any insight on some recognized colleges that are less than 2 year long and not insanely expensive? And can he use the credits for some University afterwards? I tried google but there are so many options that it's hard for me to understand, being that I'm new in the country and don't know a lot about your ways.
