Hi,
I noticed a few capital markets (aka. electronic trading) software developer jobs at large financial institutions in Toronto and Montreal that require good C++ or Java programming skills. Do these jobs pay better than similar jobs at other industries ? And more importantly, do these jobs really have bad working/life balance with lots of overtime as is typical in trading front desks ?
Would it be for such programmers to climb the ranks or become traders ?
