I did something stupid at work and got caught. My boss called me into his office the other day and tells me all about it. Meanwhile, there was also another guy there who did not say a word during the whole discussion. I know that usually when there's a witness, it's because you're getting fired but is it normal procedure to do this whenever you're getting a warning?
Anyways, I admited my mistake and cooperated and my boss just told me to get back to work and he will tell me during the day or on Monday what's gonna happen. I still haven't got any update on the subject and obviously I'm stressing out and haven't had a very relaxing weekend. He said that there will be consequences, but I think it'd be cruel for him to make me come in on Monday to tell me I'm fired.
For the record, I've always been a great employee before this. I reach or surpass all the goals I have set, always show up on time and never call sick, never complain and always help others and so on. I'm not really gonna go into the details on what I got caught doing for private reasons,if you want to know and have experience in this and can give me advice, i'll send you a PM.
