With the increase of self-taught coders? According to this article, it is: http://magazine.good.is/articles/tur...de-in-drop-out

There seems to be an increase of non-degree holders looking for the same jobs the graduates are. Coding is something you can learn on your own time, unlike the other Engineering disciplines (ie. Civil, Mechanical). That begs the question, are SE and CS degrees still worth the tuition, time and effort?

Personally, I think a degree will always help in the long run, especially when it comes to management positions. You can learn how to code yourself, but those are only programming jobs. So is it still worth it to pursue a degree in SE or CS?
