This position is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods through the Head Office warehouse location. This person will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse and all its inventory control functions.
Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Manage the receipt and storage of inventory from vendors, retail, and warehouse locations
Manage the shipping of inventory to retail and warehouse locations, coordinating shipments to reduce costs
Distribute inventory and store supplies to retail locations as requested by Purchasing and Reverse Logistics
Manage defective merchandise, submitting return authorizations and product to the vendor for credit
Process defective inventory in the POS to ensure accurate inventory and records for Accounting to process the credit
Receive and inspect recalled inventory from retail locations to ensure the condition of the product
Manage and inspect product shipped to the warehouse for redistribution to other retail locations for accuracy of the stock transfer and condition of the inventory
Maintain an accurate inventory count, ensuring product in the warehouse matches data in the POS
Research warehouse inventory conflicts and resolve or communicate them to Inventory Control, reverse Logistics, and Purchasing
Adhere to processes and procedures as outlined by Inventory Control and Reverse Logistics
Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts as dictated by Inventory Control
Organize the warehouse and receiving bay on a daily basis to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
Communicate task completion to Purchasing, Reverse Logistics, and Inventory Control
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to take initiative
Team player, capable of interacting and working alongside a wide variety of individuals
Ability to identify and adapt to changing priorities
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Lead and participate in the development of inventory processes & procedures
Problem solving skills and improvement project experience
Basic understanding of financial accounting concepts and reporting processes. Must have strong fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Control, and Purchasing in a retail environment.
Must have at least 2 years of direct supply chain experience
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite of programs, specifically Outlook and Excel
English/French language preferred
