Hey, was wondering if the termination of employment rules apply for part time jobs? I worked as a delivery driver for a pizza company and was employed there for about 1.5 years. This friday they pulled me aisde and said that their labour costs are too high and they had to let me go. They pretty much let me go on the spot while I worked 1 hour for them. They didn't give me a written notice, just a thank you and good bye. They also gave me a raise 2 months ago, but it was a verbal agreement nothing was written, and on my last pay check they went back to minimum wage and was paid 11/hour. Also, they didn't pay me holiday pay for victoria day, is it too late to ask for that pay?
