I have an interview for an IT position coming up. I was wondering, would just dress shirt, dress pants, and tie be appropriate? I haven't been to an interview yet where I've needed to have more and I figure it won't look good if I have yo ask.
Second, I was wondering how I negotiate pay rate. I was asked before I got the interview what I expect my pay to be. I told the person I spoke to the the average pay for help desk/tech support position such as this, according to job bank is $24/hr. They then replied what's the lowest, and I wasn't really sure so I said $20. Opinions?
