Hi,
I am a new grad with a mechanical engineering degree who is still looking for jobs (preferably mechanical engineering job). I am just wondering if I should learn some programming skills since it looks like there are many jobs which require programming skills. Some guys say I don't need to learn any programming as I already have an engineering degree. But I am really struggling whether I should learn some programming or database management skills so that I might be able to get a job more easily?
If yes, should I learn languages like JAVA ad PHP? (I personally think these skills are for software engineers, but not mechanical engineers)
OR taking some database courses like SQL would be good enough?
Any thoughts?!
Thx.
