I have a coveted engineering interview at a municipality coming up. I graduated last year from college.
During application, on my resume, I put down the experience at my current engineering firm as Sep 2013 - Current, when in fact, I worked there from
Sep - Dec 2013 and then May 2014 - Current.
I got laid off (due to winter) Dec 2013 - May 2014 and then got hired back.
In the interview if they ask me "So you have been with Company for 9 months?" Should I say yes or should I say I got laid off for 5 months in the middle.
I did not mention lay off on resume as at the time of application my research showed it looks bad to say lay off on resume or cover letter.
But now I am stuck in this awful position
Thank you so much!
PS: I am not currently on layoff so I would appreciate if your answers can reflect that :)
