I'm currently a manager, but I'm treated like I'm less than that by the other managers in my workplace. They talk down to me. Now, I am considering applying for other jobs for a more senior management position also within the government. However, any new position would not be much extra money, around $5,000 more or so per year after tax, and would involve significantly more work/stress. Should I try to move up? My peers would probably flip out if I got a position higher than them, which I know isn't the best reason for getting a new job. I'm just sick of their attitude and would like to try to 'one-up' them all. What should I do?
