Hello guys, Last year I was working as a Inventory control/Logistic Associate making around $18/hour and was laid off from job after company restructuring and got Employment Insurance; went through many interviews without success and finally succumb to next best thing which was Order Picker position where I am currently making $14/hour.
I am currently on probation and without any vacation time for 1 year, and no chance for advancement at my workplace; my workplace is very strict about taking holiday; so it becomes that much harder to go for interviews.
So, what is the best solution in my situation? Do I push to pass the probation and revisit employment after some time? Does this job degrade my qualifications when presenting to potential employers?
How bad is this situation and how would you guys recommend that I deal with the situation?
