Any accountants or recruiters would be greatly appreciated. I have decided to go back to school to pursue accounting full-time. I already hold a BA from SFU.
UBC DAP is 11 courses. Cost is about $10,000 including books and tuition.
BCIT has minimum 16 courses for diploma (advanced placement), though timeline and cost is similar. They do offer a laddering option to upgrade your diploma into a Bachelor of Technology degree later on.
Now I have seen jobs that require a degree, but I already hold a degee albeit not in Accounting. Would this matter?
I feel Big 4 recruits more from UBC, but since they have much larger classes, it may not make a difference. BCIT's classes are usually around 20 people max.
Which is a better option for a career in accounting?
