Based in GLENTEL’s Head Office location the HR Generalist works as part of the national HR and Recruitment team, and has a unique opportunity to make a difference to company-wide HR policies, processes and projects.
The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day functions of HR for GLENTEL’s multiple cell phone retail brands. You will work within a fantastic HR team who love to come to work each day. Your role will be varied, fast paced, always changing and full of opportunities to make a difference.


Responsibilities

We have detailed some of the activities you will be responsible for, but in this position no two days will be the same. You will be involved heavily in employee relations for our stores, assisting with a multitude of HR projects and will assist the Manager, Human Resources to develop HR strategy and goals.
Partner with managers to develop and maintain positive employee relations, an engaged workforce and to implement new and innovative HR solutions
Provide human resource advice and consultation to employees and management on all HR related matters;
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment standards, human rights, privacy legislation and employment equity;
Assist in the development and delivery of HR training and sharing of best practices;
Assist the HR team in the development, implementation and management of the performance review process;
Assist in the implementation of a new HRIS
Act as a lead in the continuous development, delivery and success of the Corporate on-boarding and exit process


Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the same passion, drive, enthusiasm complimented with a rock star HR background.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Human Resources, experience within a retail environment would be an advantage
Up to date knowledge on latest labour market and employment trends
Experience of working with all levels of an organization
Ability to handle a high volume of work, will be an expert at multi-tasking with excellent organizational skills
French speaking is an asset
