Okay so, I'm in a bit of a crappy situation and was wondering if anyone had some legal advice they could give me?
So here's the story:
I worked for my employer between the years of June 2012 - June 2013.
During that time he paid me under the table, something I wasn't aware of at the time but became aware of later on.
He was a small business owner with a failing business.
Over the course of this year he ended up owing me 8.6k in back wages, which he frequently promised to pay back to me once things picked up.
They never did, I quit, and found a job overseas.
I didn't sue him because I didn't want him to lose his business and he said he would still pay me.
He paid me maybe $400 in the few weeks after that, and nothing since.
He no longer replies to my emails either and I can't visit him personally because I am now in Asia.
I've told him I would sue him, but nothing, and I replied to his Facebook but he deleted my comments.
He has not filed for bankruptcy and he now works out of a different location under the same business.
I don't know what to do, and worry that too much time has passed.
