Hi, I recently gave notice / submitted resignation to HR at my oil sands company I work for. I will be having the exit interview in 2 weeks, can everyone chip in and give me some insight / tips on what to expect in an exit interview:
Although I am leaving my current company, I want to work for them in the future, ie. 5-10-15 years down the road again
Some background: I worked in a remote location for an oil sands company (Engineering), now leaving due to finding a job in a city after two years there (Engineering), but I was warned by ppl not to say I am leaving due to the remote location / living environment (which is the reason...)- because that will close doors to similar jobs in the company in the future. I have to say I am leaving due to personal/pursue other opportunities / expand horizons...blah blah blah
Anyone has examples of good things to say in an exit interview, that will keep the door open for me in the future
Also I left on good terms with my team and had good reviews and walked away with lots of good references.
I did some basic googling already ... but Please and thank you for all RFD expert opinions XD
