Our school promised us lavish jobs. Lots out there to choose from. Haha what a joke.
Too little too late for me as I already graduated in 2013. I bought into it and now I feel like I've been robbed.
Graduated last August (18 month course). Cannot find a place anywhere they will take anyone unless you have 3 years of OH&S experience under their belt. Classes before mine and after has about 2% success rate of finding a permanent job after school.
The market as it stands right now is picky as the market is oversaturated with students.
So the only lucky ones are the ones who:
-Graduated prior to 2011
-Have a BCRSP certification (Which you need years of experience/points to even take the exam)
So in Newfoundland, there is approximately 100+ graduated students with no chance of a job...Zero. The people who already have the 3 years of experience are laughing. They get the pick of the litter and the rest of us now have to go back to school and try to find something else.
