Hi, I am thinking of doing the CSC completely for the sake of personal benefit and to further my knowledge (actually the main reason is to put on my resume and linkedin), and I have a couple of questions. I am actually already working in a big5 bank on the capital market side (technology, not front office) and although it is pricey and offers me no upfront benefit (as i already got my foot in the banking industry door), i know my bank offers a discount and i can also expense it (as an incorporated contractor).
my questions are:
1. I heard there is a duration before it becomes invalid after u pass. its something like 3 years before u are "registered". What does this mean?
2. Whats the cheapest way for me to take the exam? I already know most of the stuff and there are tons of pdfs to download. Is it necessary to buy the Online course ($985 minimum) for me to take the exam? Also, would u recommend the "CSC check 2013" for past practice exams?
