Teacher, Lawyer, Engineer, Doctor, Accountant, Software Developer, Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber are all careers you need specialized training or education in. There may be cases where you can get one of these jobs with no education or experience, but mainly, it requires some sort of degree, apprenticeship to have a better chance at securing these positions. Even then you require on-the-job training.

Then there are the careers that anyone can apply for, such as most banking careers, like a Financial Advisor, Financial Services Rep, Commercial Banker, Mortgage Specialist, Government Admin roles, Police officer, jobs in Airports, Border Services, etc.

Both paths can earn a living, but does having a specialized skill provide more job security and growth potential compared to a job anyone can apply to and learn on the job?

I mean, you can make lots of money in banking, and when I worked in the bank, a lot of people did not even have a degree-let alone a business degree.
