I used to work at an accounting firm where I did the personal tax return for a guy who was selling investments on behalf of TD to indiviudals. His T4 return was past the $1,000,000 mark in commission income.
Just wondering if this is a lucrative and worth while career option. What should the size of your book (how much money you've brought in from clients and gotten invested into TD) be around to be paid an amount over say $150,000 a year in T4 income?
I do have an accounting designation and am considering this as a career option down the road as opposed to trying to climb the corporate ladder.
I'm assuming success on this job will be a large part based on your networks and your sales skills?
