Basically I'm looking for some sort of guide on how to win at boardroom politics, for relatively new appointees. More specifically: garnering support for one's initiatives from a majority of the board members; gaining power, influence and respect while preventing loss of it; maneuvering oneself to become chairman; and positioning oneself for an appointment to a more powerful/desirable board.
Have read Machiavelli, Sun Tzu and Carnegie but am looking for something a little more contemporary and focused.
Any ideas?
