Hi there
Recently I have attended quite a bit of interviews for jobs now that I am graduating. My interviews tend to go very smoothly but my main concern is with the background checks. About 3-4 years ago, i got arrested for shoplifting(yes i know it was stupid, please don't dwell on this). I believe i got charged with misdemeanor but i got my sentence deferred and all i had to do was community service and the person in charge of handling my case in the court building told me that all charges were dropped and it won't be on my criminal record.
However, I am worried that this may come up during a background check and it may affect my chances of landing a job. If anyone else has experience in this, can they shed some light.
Thanks!
