Just been thinking. How would you open yourself up to companies and the people in companies you want to work with, with no prior working experience in the field and no education in the field either? Do you take part time courses until you get a diploma and then apply or do you just throw a resume at them and hope for the best? Or do you just take 1 or 2 courses, show you understand basic terms and knowledge in the field and then apply? Or is a better way taking some type of "interest course" offered by the government for people who want to try different things and then tell your hopeful employer you've done this and that? Mind you these interest courses don't grant any licenses or certifications but are just there for that - interest. The last thing I can think of for now is simply getting a certificate, taking a few courses that add up to a diploma but stopping after a few that are needed to receive a certificate. How would you do it?
