Crappy interview/hiring process. what should i do now

Hello guys.................. hoping to here some expertiZe from the forum.

ok so couple weeks ago i went to a job interview and the boss there interviewed me and he seemed to have really liked me saying stuff like "im not promising you anything but you're very high up there in my selection process" He liked that i had previous experience and such.

So last week I expectedly received an email saying he'd like to hire me but wants to speak to me on the phone first to talk (probably about wage and hours). I told him I was available to talk after some certain time (3pm) just because i had exams and was SO busy and stressed out.

He never replied to my email and then 3 days later sends me ANOTHER one asking if I've found a summer position yet. I replied saying that I have obviously not because I'm waiting to hear back from him. He didn't reply to this email either.

I'm not sure if there's some miscommunication or if my emails aren't going through.

So i called the place today and the secretary told me that the boss is busy and the only time he'll be able reach me (if he even wants to talk to me) is around 2pm. I said ok.

So it's 2 pm and nobody calls me.

GUYS IM JUST so sad. Does he think I dont want the position? Did he find someone new? Basically when I went to the interview he already told me that I'm well above the other candidate (1 other person). I just really hope that the emails didnt SCREW UP and he thought I wasn't responding to his offer.

So what should I do? Call again tomorrow? Ask his secretary straight up if he found another person that they hired? I just feel like i wasted so much time commuting from frigging Waterloo to Toronto to be interviewed during the middle of my exam time to find out that I'm not going to be hired............sigh so upset right now:(:(:(:(:(:(
